没想到才相隔没多久，那种灰蒙蒙的天空又回来了。
再加上刺鼻的烟味，逐渐降低的能见度，不知道要到什么时候，才能重见光明呢？
今天一早出门上班，又看到烟霾来袭。
用手机apps检测了空气污染指数，想不到才短短几天已经高达108点不健康水平了。
Haze is back in Malaysia in just a few months time. The hazy weather with irritating smell is affecting the people in all aspects. When can we get rid of the haze? The haze started on Sunday, and now the Pollutant Standard Index (PSI) already exceeded 100, which is categorized as unhealthy level. This is really terrible!

When I looked outside from my office, I felt like I was at Genting, only that it's not cold at all. The sky is so hazy I can no longer see distant buildings clearly.
相信大家也略有耳闻，这次的烟霾有可能因为是厄尔尼诺现象所造成的。
那么什么是厄尔尼诺现象呢？根据大马气象局的报道，每隔2-7年，位于秘鲁西海岸的暖流水会取代原本的寒流水，进而导致某些地区会遇上干旱，某些地区则会遇上水灾。
那么在大马呢，厄尔尼诺现象将会导致东马一区在西南和东北季候风的降雨量减低。在西马则是西南季候风的降雨量将会受影响，也就是六月到八月这段期间。所以天气会特别的干燥。
I believe you all have heard about El Nino phenomenon? According to Malaysian Meteorological Department, El Nino happens every 2-7 years, whereby the warm current of water will replace the cold current of water at the East Coast of Peru. This in turn will lead to two types of climate changes, either dry drought or flood. Obviously in Malaysia, we are having the drier climate changes. Especially during the Southwest moonsoon (June-August), the rainfall over Malaysia will be much below average.
那么烟霾其实有多严重呢？大家都会说烟霾会影响健康，可是如何影响呢？
第一个受影响的就是鼻子。当我们呼吸吸入漂浮在空气中的污染因子，我们的鼻腔就会受刺激，然后产生黏液（鼻涕），造成鼻子阻塞。鼻子敏感的人会更容易受影响。
第二个就是我们的气管和肺。同样的，当污染因子到了气管和肺，人的身体就会产生黏液（痰），企图把肮脏东西都咳出去。
第三个就是我们的皮肤。尤其是患有湿疹或皮肤敏感的人，那些空气中的污染因子会粘附在皮肤，造成敏感反应。
第四个就是眼睛。干燥的天气和污染因子容易造成眼睛干涩。
最后就是心脏了。当我们的身体做出种种的敏感反应时，其实我们的身体已经处在压力状态之下。心脏就需要更努力的工作，甚至提高血压来维持。
So, how does haze affect our body? Air pollutants can trigger underlying health conditions and affect the body in numerous ways.
Firstly, when we inhale particles and chemicals during hazy days, our nose will be irritated and secrete mucus to flush out the particles. This will cause nose blockage and the effect is magnified in people having allergy rhinitis.
The particles may inflamed our airways and lungs as well! The airways and lungs will then produce phlegm and provoke cough to get rid of the particles from our body.
Next is our skin. Our skin may get irritated by the particles and lead to itchiness and inflammation.
The particles can also cause burning sensation, irritate the eyes into tearing to clean itself and inflame the conjunctiva.
When our body is having inflammation, our body is actually under stress and the heart need to pump faster. This will lead to elevated blood pressure and chemicals will be released to make the blood clot more easily.
